2 US Special Forces Soldiers Killed And 6 Wounded By Insider Attack In Afghanistan:

More tough days of US forces in Afghanistan ahead as 2 highly trained US Special Forces Soldiers Killed and 6 others wounded in an insider attack in Afghanistan. The 2 Highly Trained US Special Forces Soldiers, who were killed by an insider attack, were involved in an operation on Feb 8 in Sherzad District, Nangarhar Province.

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense also spoke on the occasion that one Afghan Soldiers were also killed and three Afghan Soldiers injured during the same attack.

According to the details, an Afghan Special Forces Soldiers uniform armed with machine gun opened fire on the Afghan and US forces, who were busy in operation in the Afghanistan Nangarhar province. As a result, 2 Highly Trained US Special Forces Soldiers and one Afghan Special Forces soldier killed, whereas dozens others injured in the same attack.

“Upon completing a key-leader engagement at the district center, current reports indicate an individual in an Afghan uniform opened fire on the combined U.S. and Afghan force with a machine gun,” the Spokesman for US Forces Afghanistan Army Colonel Sonny Leggett said in an official statement.

We are still collecting information and the cause or motive behind the attack is unknown at this time. The incident is under investigation,” he also added further.

Interesting to note that neither the US and nor the Afghan Defense Ministry has confirmed about the fate of the attacker involved in the attack. It clearly indicates that the attacker is safe and might have escaped the incident area easily after the killing spree.
