CHINESE J-20 Long Range Stealth Fighter Makes History By Flying With Domestic WS-15 Engine:
PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA is making rapid progress in the field of modern Warfare Tools and Apparatus. In the recent news, the CHINESE J-20 Long Range Stealth Fighter Jet makes history by flying with the domestic WS-15 Engine.
PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA has carried out vigorous testing on the WS-15 Engine for years and now the use of WS-15 Engine in J-20 clearly indicates that the WS-15 Engine qualifies all the required tests to enter service by 2025.
PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA previously tested the domestic WS-15 Engine on a number of commercial and non-combat airframes, but the use of the WS-15 Engine in J-20 indicates that that CHINESE WS-15 Engine has already reached to an advanced stage of development and it qualifies for both combat and non-combat jets.
The CHINESE WS-15 Engine is designed by the Shenyang Aeroengine Research Institute (SART) and it is manufactured by the Xian Aeroengine Corporation.
The new generation of WS-15 Engine is expected to have far greater power and fuel efficiency than all its predecessors, including the WS-10 Engine. That gives superior flight performance and much greater endurance to the CHINESE Next Generation Stealth Fighter Jet.
The use of the WS-15 Engine is expected to make the CHINESE J-20 Long Range Stealth Jet as the World’s leader among fighter jets in terms of Stealth, thrust output and the interceptors.
The closest competitor of CHINESE J-20 Long Range Stealth Jet is the Russian SU-57 Fighter Jet, SU-34 Jet and American F-22 Raptor.
The F135 is considered as the most powerful fighter jet engine use to power the American F-35 Single Engine Fighter Jet, however, the CHINESE J-20 WS-15 Engine can easily give it a tough time in the years ahead.
The latest development of the CHINESE WS-15 Engine will help PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA to place CHINA on par with the developed countries of the world that are developing the jets domestically.
Previously, the CHINESE J-20 Long Range Stealth Fighter Jet was using the Russian AL-31 Engines that Russia developed for its SU-34 Fighter Jet.
The development of the CHINESE J-20 Fighter Jet will allow J-20 to fly supersonically for longer period without using the afterburners, thus providing the ‘supercruise’ ability to the jet, which is a key requirement for modern 5th Gen fighter Jets of 21st century.
The use of the CHINESE WS-15 Engine will further help to improve the low speed maneuverability and the thrust vectoring engine.

PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA also aims to sell the single engine fighter jet for the export and that fighter jet could also use the same WS-15 Powerplant. The J-20 is one of the two 5th Generation Fighter Jet developed by PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA, including the FC-31 Stealth Jet.
Now, CHINESE combat aviation is considered a potential competitor to the United States in terms of missiles, lethality, avionics and durability, even with the stealth technologies. By further bringing the gap in the modern Combat Jet Engine Technology, PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA can eventually get the complete parity and primacy in the field for the years to come.
