PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother CHINA Second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship Starts First Sea Trials:
The Second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship of PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother CHINA is all set to start the first sea trials beginning from Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
The first Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship has already started its maiden voyage on August 5, just after a little more than 10 months after its launch and this timeline is also considered as fast.
The Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship of PEOPLE’s LIBERATION ARMY NAVY (PLAN) embarked on the first sea trials just over eight months after its April launch in April 2020. The sea trials of the CHINA’s first Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship lasted for 19 days.
This is the trial of the Second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship as the first one has already embarked on the final trials in the Sea. CHINA is also constructing the 3rd Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship in order to strengthen the capability of Amphibious landing, which are considered as vital for the Defense of South CHINA Sea and Taiwan Straits.
The Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration has released the Navigation Restriction Notice says that Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship will leave the Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard to initiate the first sea trials.

The Second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship started its first sea trials by sailing towards the East CHINA Sea for the very first time.
During the first sea trials of Second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship would follow the similar voyage on the line of first Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship by testing the propulsion system among other major systems, including the communication system, weapons system and navigation system.
“The second ship’s maiden voyage could follow a similar process, as the propulsion system among other major systems, including navigation and communication systems could be tested,” Beijing based Military Expert told Global Times CHINA.
It is expected the both the Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ships could enter the Naval Service in 1-2 years after the first test trials.

CHINA’s Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship, also known as the Helicopter Carrier that is also comparable to the Wasp-Class Amphibious Assault Ship of the United States.
The Amphibious Assault Ships are considered as the vital backbone of any Blue Water Navy like PEOPLE’s LIBERATION ARMY NAVY (PLAN) to timely conduct the landing missions and vertical deployment on CHINESE Territorial Islands like South CHINA Sea and Island of Taiwan.

Apart from the Major Military Conflicts, the Amphibious Assault Ship can be deployed for other purposes, including the Anti-Terrorism Operation, Sea Lanes Protection, Anti-Piracy Operations and Humanitarian Aid Missions.
