Argentina Is All Set To Purchase Several Squadrons Of JF-17 Thunder Block-3 From PAKISTAN:
More good news for the Great PAKISTANI NATION as Argentina is all set to purchase several squadrons of the Next Generation JF-17 Thunder Block-3 Jet from PAKISTAN, a reliable defense source revealed.
According to the details, Argentina is looking to upgrade the fleet of its ageing fighter jet with the modern one. The country has previously opted for FA-50 Jets from South Korean Manufacturer Korea Aerospace Industries or KAI, but later on Argentina has to reverse its decision due to the refusal and utter betrayal by the South Korea due to the immense pressure by the United Kingdom (UK).
The South Korean state owned Korean Aerospace Industries had previously agreed to supply undisclosed numbers of FA-50 Fighter Jet to Argentina, but later on South Korea takes a U-turn in its decision due to the immense pressure from the United Kingdom (UK).
It is pertinent to mention that the diplomatic relations between Argentina and the UK have become soured due to the dispute over the Falkland Islands and other territories since 1980. The dispute resulted in the 10-week long war between Argentina and the UK, which ended with a British Victory. Since then, the relations between the two countries have been deteriorating significantly.
Apart from using the other tactics, the United Kingdom utilizes all its resources and diplomatic channels at overseas to prevent Argentina from upgrading its air force by inducting modern combat jets in the fleet.
The Chief of Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Xavier Isaac has confirmed the news by saying that the United Kingdom government has utilized all its resources and diplomatic channels in order to prevent the major Aircraft manufacturers of the world to refrain from selling any type of modern combat jet to Argentina.
The Chief of Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Xavier Isaac further said that due to the immense pressure applied by the United Kingdom Government, major Aircraft manufacturers are now bound not to sell anything to Argentina. The fragile and meager economic condition of the Argentina also forced such manufacturers for sealing or cutting a major defense acquisition deal with the latter country.
It is pertinent to mention that Argentine Air Force doesn’t have many options to look on due to financial constraints to go for a more expensive jet option as the Sweden’s Gripen or US F-16 jet, therefore PAKISTAN’s Pride JF-17 Thunder Block-3 has appeared as the strongest contender for the Argentine Air Force.
The JF-17 Thunder Block-3 is a 4.5++ Generation of Multirole Combat Aircraft jointly produced by PAKISTAN and its Iron Brother CHINA. JF-17 Thunder Block-3 is perhaps the only modern combat jet that can easily fulfill all the tactical and modernization needs of the Argentine Air Force.
The Chief of Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Xavier Isaac explained that adding the JF-17 Thunder Block-3 in the fleet of Argentine Air Force would be considered as a ‘milestone and breakthrough’ for the Argentine Air Force, as the force haven’t inducted a 4 and 4.5++ Generation combat Aircraft before in the entire history of the Argentine Air Force.
“The British veto reaction did not take us by surprise. Because we have long expected this not only from KAI, but also from everyone who offers us products [meaning combat aircraft]”, said Brigadier Isaac.
The Chief of Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Xavier Isaac further added that a high level delegation of the Argentine Air Force has already visited PAKISTAN Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra to examine the capabilities of PAKISTAN’s indigenous combat jet.
He concluded that the induction of JF-17 Thunder Block-3 would be a giant leap by the Argentine Air Force, which would act as the backbone of the Argentine Air Force in the years coming ahead.
If the Argentina sealed this major Defense Contract with PAKISTAN, then Argentina would be the third country after Nigeria and Burma, who have purchased the indigenous star combat Jet of PAKISTAN.
It is important to mention that the Commander of Ukraine Air Force Commander Colonel General Sergii also visited the PAKISTAN Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra along with the high level delegation to examine the capabilities of JF-17 Thunder being produced in PAKISTAN.
Reportedly, the Ukrainian Air Force is also interested to induct a high-tech 4.5++ Generation capable fighter like the JF-17 Thunder Block-3 in its fleet to cope up the modern challenges.
