PAF Deploys YLC-18A And TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Long Range 3D AESA Radars To Strengthen The Air Defense Of Sacred Country PAKISTAN:
PAKISTAN AIR FORCE has deployed the YLC-18A and TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Long Range 3D Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radars in order to strengthen the Air Defense of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
According to the details from the reliable sources, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE has deployed the CHINESE-made YLC-18A and US-made TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Long Range Ground Based 3D AESA Radars and added them to their Air Defense Monitoring System at an undisclosed location.
PAKISTAN AIR FORCE has also procured the Radomes for the CHINESE YLC-18A and TPS-77 MRR Long Range and Anti-Stealth Radar back in March 2020.
PAKISTAN’s Air Defense Monitoring and tracking capabilities will reach to all new levels after the installation and deployment of these 2 state of the art Anti-Stealth and Long-Range 3D AESA Radars.
Significance of CHINESE YLC-18A and TPS-77 MRR for PAKISTAN AIR FORCE:
There is a lot significance about the addition of these two radars for the Air Defense domain of Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
Both the newly acquired Anti-Stealth Stealth and Long Range radars can easily be used for:
- Cruise Missile Warning
- Ballistic Missile Warning
- Stealth Fighter Jet Detection
- Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) Detection

Details of the Newly Deployed Anti-Stealth Long Range Radars:
CHINESE YLC-18A Anti-Stealth Long Range 3D AESA Radar:
The first radar is the CHINESE YLA-18a Anti-Stealth, long range and ground-based L-band 3D AESA radar built by the CHINA’s state-owned Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology.
The CHINESE-made YLC-18A Anti-Stealth 3D AESA Radar is fully capable to precisely track and identify the latest 4.5+ and 5th Generation Stealth Fighter Jet, including F-35 and F-22, up to the range of 500 Kilometers in total.
This main purpose of this CHINESE YLA-18A Anti-Stealth Long Range 3D AESA Radar is to fill the low-level air defense gaps and anti-stealth targets even in the Hybrid Complex ECM environment.
The YLC-18A is a state-of-the-art Anti-Stealth Radar designed to precisely track, identify and engage the modern 5th Generation Stealth Fighter Jet, included the US F-35 Lightning-II Jet and US F-22 Raptor Jet.
The YLC-18A Anti-Stealth 3D AESA Radar also possesses the capability of the Digital Moving Target Indication and Constant False Alarm Rate Processing.
After the installation, the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE can use the newly deployed YLC-18A Long Range Anti-Stealth Radar for the target acquisition of Surface to Air Missile (SAM) and the it can also be used as the anti-aircraft artillery force.
Earlier in June 2020, the same CHINESE YLC-18A Radar successfully tracked the US F-22 Raptor Stealth Aircraft approaching to the country’s Airspace. The Venezuelan Authorities issued a warning, after the US stealth jet forced to change its position. This incident shows the performance of CHINESE YLC-18A Anti-Stealth Radar.
One of the biggest advantages of the YLC-18A Anti-Stealth Radar is that can elevate its main antenna in seconds. After the elevation, it can instantly start the 360-degree rotation to search the low or medium altitude stealth and non-stealth targets.
The CHINESE YLC-18A Anti-Stealth Radar can easily be mounted on any high-capacity moving vehicle, such as Trucks.

TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Long Range Radar:
The TPS-77 MRR radar, developed by the Lockheed Martin, is basically a long-range ground based Anti-Stealth Air Radar.
The TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Long Range Radar features 500 Kilometers of Action-Based Testing (ABT) and 300 Kilometers of Typical Fighter Aircraft.
Apart from detecting the low-flying aerial targets, the radar can also track and identify the low-flying projectiles, such as the Cruise Missiles.
The TPS-77 MRR uses the revolutionary Gallium Nitride or GaN Technology that provides high-reliable radar operations on the battlefield.
The TPS-77 MRR long range and anti-stealth radar has a total detection range of up to 463 Kilometers and it covers an altitude up to 30.5 kilometers in total. The radar rotates at 5 rounds per minute to detect the long-range low-flying stealth and typical aerial targets.
The system of the radar allows the operator to easily configure the TPS-77 MRR Long Range and Anti-Stealth Radar according to different mission requirements in the complex Hybrid Warfare environment.
For convenience; the TPS-77 MRR Anti-Stealth Radar can easily be mounted on Trucks and it can easily be transported to other location in the minimal possible time frame.
