CHINESE Special Envoy On Afghanistan H.E Mr. Yue Xiayong And COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Discusses Afghanistan At GHQ Rawalpindi:
Special Envoy on Afghanistan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CHINA, His Excellency Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong and PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa discusses Afghanistan at GHQ Rawalpindi on Friday, November 12, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the ISPR, CHINESE Special Envoy on Afghanistan His Excellency, Mr. Yue Xiaoyong visits Generals Headquarter and held One on One important meeting with PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discusses matters pertaining to regional security, professional interest and the situation of Afghanistan after the hasty withdrawal and humiliated defeat of US and Allied Forces in Afghanistan.
“During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including Afghanistan situation and measures to further enhance bilateral cooperation were discussed,” DG ISPR said.
On the occasion, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF reiterate the need for convergence of efforts towards a prosperous and peaceful Afghanistan for regional security.
“COAS reiterated the need for convergence of efforts towards a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan in pursuit of regional stability,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar quoted COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
On the occasion, the visiting dignitary, Special Envoy on Afghanistan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CHINA, His Excellency Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, highly lauded the role of PAKISTAN in Afghan Peace Process and the efforts of PAKISTAN for the effective Border Management Control in Afghanistan.
“The visiting dignitary appreciated PAKISTAN’s role in Afghan peace process, special efforts for border management, role in regional stability and pledged to play his part for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with PAKISTAN at all levels,” DG ISPR added in the statement.
Special Envoy on Afghanistan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CHINA, His Excellency Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong reiterate the firm and unshakable resolve that PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA will continue to play its due role and it will increase its Bilateral Engagements with PAKISTAN at all levels.
