COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Installs First Ever Three-Star Female General Nigar Johar As Colonel Commandant Of The ARMY Medical Corps:
CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has made history by installing first ever three-star Female General Nigar Johar as the Colonel Commandant of the ARMY Medical Corps (AMC) on Friday, November 26, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa installed the Lieutenant General Nigar Johar as the first-evert three-star Female General Officer as the Colonel Commandant of the ARMY Medical Corps (AMC).
“Installation of the first-ever three-star female general officer of PAKISTAN ARMY as Colonel Commandant of AMC is indeed a matter of immense pride for PAKISTAN ARMY and the country,” COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said.
PAK ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa highly lauded and appreciated the ARMY Medical Corps for maintaining the highest standards of healthcare during both peace and war time.
“AMC has always answered the call of duty during natural calamities, both inland and abroad. Our doctors and paramedic staff have been frontline warriors against Covid-19 and displaying exemplary commitment and resolve for the safety and well-being of the people of PAKISTAN,” COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa added.
On the occasion, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa emphasized that it is imperative for doctors and paramedics to keep abreast with the rapid advancement in the field of science and technology in the healthcare sector.
Earlier, on arrival at the ARMY Medical Corps (AMC) Center in Abbottabad, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid a floral wreath and offered FATIHA for the Sacred Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN, who have laid down their lives while serving their Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
It is pertinent to mention that Lieutenant General Nigar Johar was promoted as the First ever Three-Star Female General in the entire history of PAKISTAN ARMY, last year. Now, Lieutenant General Nigar Johar would be the first Colonel Commandant ARMY Medical Corps (AMC).
