COAS General Qamar Javed Bajws Vows PAKISTAN Desires To Maintain Long Term Multi-Domain Strategic Relations With Russia

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing, Russian Special Envoy of Afghanistan Mr. Zamir Kabulov visits Generals Headquarter Rawalpindi and held important meeting with COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed matters pertaining to mutual interest, professional interest and the security situation of the Afghanistan after the humiliating defeat of US and allied forces from Afghanistan.

“PAKISTAN desires to maintain the tradition of bilateral engagement with all the regional players and wish for long term and enduring multi-domain relationship with Russia,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar quoted COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa categorically made it clear that PAKISTAN desires to maintain multi-domain strategic relations with Russia.

On the occasion, the PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa also reiterated the need for global convergence on Afghanistan issue to avoid the humanitarian crisis in the country.

“The Russian envoy appreciated PAKISTAN’s role in Afghan situation, special efforts for border management, role in regional stability and pledged to play his part for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with PAKISTAN at all levels, DG ISPR added.

Special Representative of President of the Russian Federation on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov highly lauded the sincere and unbiased role of PAKISTAN in the Afghanistan issue. He also appreciated the special efforts of PAKISTAN for enhancing and maintain the border management on the Afghanistan and Iran.

It is expected that the recent high-profile visit of Russian Envoy will significantly help to further strengthen the Bilateral Military, Defense and Security relations between both the Friendly Countries, PAKISTAN and Russia.
