First Edition Of UN Multinational Peacekeeping Military Drills Shared Destiny 2021 Successfully Concludes In CHINA:

The first edition of a multinational UN Peacekeeping Military Drills named as Shared Destiny 2021 successfully concludes at the Quenshin Training Base in CHINESE Henan Province on Saturday, September 18, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the first ever edition of Multinational UN Peacekeeping drills dubbed as Shared Destiny 2021 culminates at the Quenshin training Base of CHINESE PLA.

The troops from CHINA, PAKISTAN, Mongolia and Thailand participated in the Multinational Exercise Shared Destiny 2021.

Under the theme of “Joint Operation of Multinational Peacekeeping Forces”, the Multinational Shared Destiny 2021 Exercise aims to enhance the response of the UN and interoperability amongst the Troops of the participating countries to carry out different tasks.

The Shared Destiny 2021 also follows the UN Action for Peacekeeping initiative aimed to build and serve the mankind in the shared future.

Based on the standard UN Operating Procedures, actual combat standards and rules of engagement, the Shared Destiny 2021 Multinational Exercise setup a Joint Command comprised of different Commanding Officers from the all the four Participating countries.

The main training theme of the exercise includes, armed escort, vigilance and patrol, establishment of makeshift operating bases, battlefield reconnaissance, respond to violent terrorist attacks, battlefield rescue and protection of civilians.

During the exercise, the Top Commanding Officers from PAKISTAN, CHINA, Mongolia and Thailand attended the ceremony.

It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN is the largest contributor of UN Peacekeeping Force across the globe and thousands of PAKISTAN ARMY Troops are engaged in different peacekeeping missions boarded under the umbrella of the United Nations.

Back on September 11, a 38-year old Lance Naik Adil, a resident of Lakki Marwat and a former operator of FC Balochistan, embraced martyrdom during the peacekeeping mission in Sudan’s Darfur while serving on duty.

Lance Naik Adil Shaheed was the part of the UN Peacekeeping mission in Darfur, which is responsible for facilitating humanitarian assistance and protection of civilians in the country, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing ISPR added.
