General Asim Munir holds the Command of the 17th COAS of Sacred Country PAKISTAN to lead the World’s Most Battle Hardened ARMED FORCES of the Entire World during a Graceful and Prestigious Change of Command Ceremony held at GHQ Rawalpindi on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar said in an Official Statement.
PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa holds over the Command of the 17th New CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Asim Munir during a Prestigious and graceful ceremony held at GHQ Rawalpindi.
Upon arrival at the Change of Command Ceremony, General Asim Munir and General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid Floral Wreath at the Yadgar-E-Shuhada and paid Rich and Glorious Tribute to the Martyrs of PAK ARMED FORCES, who laid down their lives during their ongoing fight against the iranian and indian state backed and state sponsored terrorism in Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
General Asim Munir is the most senior ranking General in the Chain of Command of PAK ARMY and he is now the 17th PAK ARMY CHIEF of Sacred Country PAKISTAN since the Country’s Independence.
In his farewell address, the outgoing COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa felicitated the newly Appointed PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir for assuming the Command of the 17th COAS of Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
The newly appointed PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir has also served at the Two High-Profile Posts of Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s, including the INTER-SERVICES INTELLIGENCE (ISI) as DG ISI and the MILITARY INTELLIGENCE (MI) as DG MI.
The outgoing COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa hoped that the appointment of General Asim Munir as the new COAS of Sacred Country PAKISTAN will prove to be highly positive both for the PAKISTAN ARMY and Sacred Country PAKISTAN, as a whole.
He maintained that General Munir is a professional and capable officer and a man of principle. General Bajwa said he is confident that under the leadership of Asim Munir, the PAK ARMY will achieve more success and further serve and defend the country.
“PAKISTAN ARMY tackled many challenges, be it the situation on the line of control, iranian and indian state backed and state sponsored terrorism or the natural calamities,” outgoing COAS General Bajwa said.
He said he is proud of the PAK ARMY that “despite limited resources, it is fulfilling the responsibility of defending each nook and corner of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN”.

The Change of Command Ceremony of PAK ARMY CHIEF was attended by the CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar and other high-ranking MILITARY and Civil officials, as well as the foreign delegates.
