PAKISTAN ARMY Made History By Promoting First Ever Woman To The Rank Of Lieutenant General:

PAKISTAN ARMY has made history by promoting first ever woman to the rank of Lieutenant General. Major General Nigar Johar Hilal E Imtiaz (Military) has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said in an official statement via the famous microblogging website.

The newly promoted Lieutenant General Nigar Johar is the first ever Women in PAKISTAN that has been promoted to this higher rank.

After the promotion, Lieutenant General has been appointed as the 1st ever Female Surgeon General of PAKISTAN ARMY.

It is worth mentioning that a total of three women have reached the rank of Major General in PAKISTAN ARMY and Nigar Johar is the third women achieve this honor.

The first ever female Major General Shahida Malik was retired in 2004 and second female Major General Shahida Badshah was also retired back in 2013.

It is interesting that all the three female officers, who have reached the rank of Major General, belongs to the same unit of the Medical Corps of PAKISTAN ARMY.

Colonel Qadir is the father of newly promoted Lieutenant General (Lt. Gen) and Major(R) Mohammad Amir is her Paternal Uncle, who has served in the most feared, respected and World’s Number 1, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

PAKISTAN’s first ever female Lieutenant General Nigar Johar HI (M) has previously served at different Key positions in PAKISTAN ARMY, including a Deputy Commandant of Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Commandant of PAK-Emirates Military Hospital and Vice Principal of ARMY Medical College, Rawalpindi.

Lieutenant General Nigar Johar has hailed from the Panjpeer, District of Swabi and this district has produced finest Sons of Sacred PAKISTAN over the years. Having said that, Swabi has also earned the reputation that first ever female officer of PAKISTAN ARMY also belongs to this part of Sacred PAKISTAN.
