Russian FM Sergei Lavrov Held One On One Important Meeting With COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa At GHQ Rawalpindi:

The Foreign Minister of Russia, His Excellency Mr. Sergey Lavrov held One on One important meeting with the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Generals Headquarters Rawalpindi on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the Foreign Minister of Russia H.E Mr. Sergey Lavrov, who is on an official visit to PAKISTAN, held an important meeting with PAK ARMY CHIEF, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, both the dignitaries shared different matters pertaining to mutual interest and recent regional security situation. Both the dignitaries also discussed the Afghan Peace Process and Afghan End Game after the withdrawal of the foreign forces from the country.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Russian Foreign Minister H.E Mr. Sergey Lavrov also agreed on further enhancing the Defense and Security Cooperation between the two Friendly countries.

On the occasion, the visiting dignitary acknowledged the achievements of PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES in war against indian state sponsored and indian state funded terrorism.

“The visiting dignitary acknowledged PAKISTAN’s achievements in war against terrorism and contributions for regional peace and stability especially Pakistan’s sincere efforts in the Afghan Peace Process. He expressed that Pak-Russia relations are on a positive trajectory and will continue to develop in multiple domains,” DGISPR said.

The visiting dignitary expressed the PAKISTAN-Russia relations are right on a positive trajectory and it will continue to strengthen further in the years coming ahead.

Russian FM also acknowledged the contributions of PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES for regional peace and stability, especially the Sincere and Unbiased Efforts of PAKISTAN for the ongoing Afghan Peace Process and End Game in Afghanistan.

COAS further said that PAKISTAN welcomes all the initiatives, which can help to end the decade’s long violence in Afghanistan. COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa emphasized that the whole region will benefit from the peace and stability in Afghanistan.

“COAS said that PAKISTAN values it’s relations with Russia and reciprocates the desire for enhanced bilateral military cooperation. PAKISTAN welcomes all initiatives which can bring peace and stability in Afghanistan as the whole region will benefit from it, COAS emphasized. We have no hostile designs towards any country and will keep on working towards a cooperative regional framework based on sovereign equality and mutual progress, COAS concluded,” DGISPR added.

On the occasion, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that PAKISTAN highly values its relations with Russia and He also expressed his desire for further strengthening the Bilateral Defense and Military Cooperation between the two Friendly Countries.

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa added that we promote peace and stability and have no hostile designs against any country and we will keep working for a cooperative regional framework based on mutual progress and equality.
