Russian FM Sergey Lavrov To Visit PAKISTAN To Discuss Afghan Endgame And Bilateral Ties With PAKISTAN:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to visit PAKISTAN on April 6 and 7 to discuss the Afghan Endgame and Bilateral Ties with Top Military and Civilians Officials of PAKISTAN, Top Officials in Islamabad confirmed on Thursday.
The Official Twitter Handler of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia confirmed the visit via a tweet as “On April 6-7, Sergey #Lavrov will visit #PAKISTAN, where talks with Foreign Minister @SMQureshiPTI will be held. The Ministers will discuss bilateral ties, including economic cooperation and counterterrorism.”
The visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will also be accompanied by the Russian Special Envoy on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov. The inclusion of Zamir Kabulov in the official delegation of Russian Foreign Minister implies that the Afghan Peace Process and Afghan Endgame would dominate the discussion.
It is pertinent to mention that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov would also visit india before starting the official visit to Iron Brother Country PAKISTAN from April 6 – April 7, 2021.
Reportedly, the news of Russian Foreign Minister travelling to Islamabad after india is quite rare and it has raised eyebrows in in india.
It is pertinent to mention that the Russia has recently hosted a conference on Afghan Peace Process with representatives from PAKISTAN, CHINA and America.
The hosting of the conference could be seen as the sincere steps and efforts of Russian Federation in in order to put an end to the decades old violence in the war torn country Afghanistan.
It is pertinent to mention that both Iron Brothers, PAKISTAN and Russia, are on the same page on Afghanistan. Both Iron Brother Countries are on the same page that refusal of the united states for withdrawal of foreign forces in Afghanistan till May 1st, 2021 will really jeopardize the regional security in general and Afghanistan in particular.

Beside the Afghan Endgame, both countries would also discuss the new steps and mechanism to further strengthen and enhance the Bilateral Ties between the two countries in different spheres and domains, including Defense and Security.
Top Defense Analysts believe that the rapidly changing geopolitical dynamics could bring together PAKISTAN, CHINA, Russia and Iran as the Natural Allies, which could also be seen as the significant step in order counter the US-led NATO Military Bloc.
