11th Multinational SOF Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021 Successfully Concludes in Sri Lanka:
PAKISTAN NAVY Special Services Group (SSG) Commandos participated in the 11th Multinational SOF Exercise Cormorant 2021 held at the Infantry Training Center in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 1st October, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head, the DGPR NAVY, PAKISTAN NAVY Special Services Group Commandos or NSSG participated in the Cormorant Strike 2021 being conducted at the Infantry Training Center Minneriya under the auspices of the Sri Lankan army.
The Exercise Director, Commander Reserve Strike Corps Major General Harendra Ranasinghe welcomed all the Special Operation Forces of the participating countries, including PAKISTAN, Maldives, Nepal and Bangladesh.
“PAK NAVY SSG participated in 11th multinational ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021’ with Sri Lankan Army at Infantry Training Center Minneriya. The aim of the exercise was to enhance interoperability & strengthen relations among Special Operation Forces of participating countries,” DGPR NAVY said.
The 11th Multinational SOF Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021 aimed to exchange the battle experience and professionalism of expertise in the domain of Maritime Special Operations Forces.
“The Exercise focused Ops including anti-terrorism Ops, disaster relief reconnaissance missions, riverine Ops & counter-terrorism in maritime domain. Regional countries including Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and india participated in it,” DGPR NAVY added.
The 11th Multinational SOF Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021 also help to strengthen Military to Military relationships, build synergy and enhance the interoperability between the Special Operations Forces (SOFs) of the participating countries.

The Multinational Special Operations Forces Exercise Cormorant 2021 includes the marine operations, riverine operations, anti-terrorism operations, reconnaissance missions, disaster relief activities and counter-terrorism in the maritime domain.
