Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal Assumes Command As Commander Coast In A Graceful Ceremony In Karachi:
Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal assumed the Command as Commander Coast (COMCOAST) in a prestigious and a graceful ceremony held in Karachi on Monday, November, 8, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DG PR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details, the Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal has assumed his responsibility as the new COMCOAST of PAKISTAN NAVY.
Vice Admiral Zahid Ilyas handed over the command of Commander Karachi (COMCOAST) to the newly appointed COMCOAST Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal.
Commander Coast (COMCOAST) Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal is now the Commander of all the Coastal Units of PAKISTAN NAVY.
Details of Newly Appointed Commander Coast (COMCOAST) Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal:
The newly appointed COMCOAST of PAKISTAN NAVY Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal got commissioned in the Operations Branch of PAKISTAN NAVY back in 1990.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has served on the various strategically important Command and Staff appointments. His important Command appointments, include the Commanding Officer of Naval Aviation Base PNS MEHRAN, Commanding Officer of PAK NAVY Sea King Helicopter Squadron.
The major staff appointments, include the Director Naval Operations Plans, Captain Training (Aviation) at HQ FOST, Principal Secretary to the Chief of the Naval Staff (Plans), Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Plans) and Naval Secretary at Naval Headquarters (NAVAL HQ) Islamabad.
Moreover, the newly appointed COMCOAST Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal has also served as the Director General Defense Purchase at the Ministry of Defense Production (MoDP). He has also served his responsibility as the NAVAL and AIR Adviser at the High Commission of PAKISTAN At new delhi, india.
Previously, he was serving as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) at NAVAL HQ Islamabad.
Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal is a graduate of PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore, National Defense University Islamabad and Naval Staff College, USA.

During the Change of Command Ceremony, a smart contingent of PAKISTAN NAVY Cadets presented Guard of the Honor to the new COMCOAST Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal. Later, he was introduced to the different Commandants and Commanding Officers of different Units under his Command.
In recognition of his Services to the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, he has been decorated with the Coveted and Prestigious Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) by PAKISTAN NAVY.
The Change of Command Ceremony was witnessed by the large number of PAKISTAN NAVY Officers, CPOs / Sailors and Navy Civilians.
