Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi Appointed 17th CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF Of PAKISTAN NAVY:
Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has been appointed as the 17th CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) of PAKISTAN NAVY. The President of PAKISTAN has approved the elevation of Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi to the office on the advice of the Prime Minister of PAKISTAN.
The newly appointed CNS Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi will succeed the current CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, who will relinquish the Command of PAKISTAN NAVY on October 6th, 2020.
Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi would be the 17th PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF.
The promotion of Vice Admiral to the rank of Admiral will be effective on the first date of assuming the Command of PAKISTAN NAVY.
The gracious and prestigious Change of Command Ceremony will be held at PNS ZAFAR, Islamabad in which CNS Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi will transfer the command of PAKISTAN NAVY to Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi.
The upcoming PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has started his service in PAKISTAN NAVY in 1985 by getting a commission in the Operations Branch of PAKISTAN NAVY.

He is a graduate of PAKISTAN ARMY Command & Staff College Quetta and National Defense University Islamabad. He holds the Masters Degree in Underwater Acoustics from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, CHINA.
During his illustrious career, Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has served on several Strategic Command and Staff appointments.
His major command post includes, Commander 18th Destroyer Squadron, Commandant PAKISTAN NAVY War College, Commandant PNS BAHADUR and Commandant Central Punjab Lahore. He has also commanded the two Type 21 Ships PNS TARIQ and PNS BADR.
The distinguished staff appointments of Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi includes the Director General Naval Intelligence (DG NI), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Evaluation) and Principal Secretary to CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) and Head of F-22P Mission CHINA.
The upcoming PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF is a recipient of Sitara E Basalat and Hilal E Imtiaz (Military) for his valuable services for his sacred country PAKISTAN.
Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi is also decorated with coveted French Medal Chevalier (Knight) by the Government of France.
It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN NAVY has promoted four Rear Admirals of PAKISTAN NAVY to the rank of Vice Admiral, including the upcoming PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi.
