PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Bajwa and TURKISH Defense Minister Hulusi Akar Discuss Regional Peace and Defense Cooperation:
Minister of National Defense of the Republic of TURKEY, General (r) Hulusi Akar called on PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday, 26 October, 2020, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations said in an official statement.
During the meeting both the dignitaries exchanged views and discuss matters of mutual interest including the regional stability, Defense and Security Cooperation.
During the high-profile meeting, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa added that both the Iron Brother Countries share a great history of friendly and brotherly relations, which is being transformed into an enduring and all Weather strategic partnerships, ISPR said in a press release.
“The dignitary commended the role of PAKISTAN for regional peace and stability, especially the efforts of PAKISTAN ARMY in battling the scourge of terrorism,” ISPR said.
During the meeting, the visiting Minister of National Defense of the Republic of TURKEY, General (r) Hulusi Akar, on the behalf of TURKEY, highly lauded and commended the Efforts and Precious Sacrifices of PAKISTAN ARMY against the indian sponsored and indian funded War Against Terrorism.
The recent Minister of National Defense of the Republic of TURKEY, General (r) Hulusi Akar met the PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa several times during the last couple of years, which is a reflection of ever growing Military, Defense and Security Cooperation between the two friendly and Brotherly countries.
It is pertinent to mention that Minister of National Defense of the Republic of TURKEY, General (r) Hulusi Akar also met with CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in December 2018, where the both Dignitaries discuss the scope of mutual Security and Defense Cooperation between the two Iron Brother Countries.
Earlier in 2017, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also awarded the Coveted Legion of Merit in Ankara in recognition of his Services for further strengthening the PAKISTAN-TURKEY Bilateral Defense and Security Cooperation.
During the occasion, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa dedicated the Coveted Legion of Merit Medal to the Sacred Martyrs of both PAKISTANI and TURKISH ARMED FORCES, who have laid down their Sacrifices for the Sake of their motherland.
The recent visit of the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of TURKEY, General (r) Hulusi Akar will further help to strengthen the bilateral Defense and Security ties between the both Brotherly Countries.
