HIT Hands Over Al-Khalid 1 Main Battle Tank To PAKISTAN Armored Corps Regiment In Prestigious Ceremony:
The handing over ceremony of PAKISTAN’s indigenously developed Al-Khalid 1 Main Battle Tank (MBT) to PAKISTAN Armored Corps Regiment took place at Heavy Industries (HIT) Taxila, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement via famous microblogging website.
CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa graced the prestigious ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Al-Khalid 1 is a next generation Main Battle Tank indigenously developed in PAKISTAN with the technical assistance and collaboration from friendly countries, including CHINA and Ukraine.

During the handing over ceremony, Al-Khalid 1 MBT displayed its distinctive and exceptional capabilities, including the Bi-Axis Gun, speed, mobility, Use of Smoke Screen to mask environment and Stabilization of the Control System.
The newly developed Al-Khalid 1 Main Battle Tank (MBT) would be handed over to the formations of the PAKISTAN Armored Corps, who have a decisive and crucial role during the war.

During the occasion, Chairman of Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) Major General Syed Aamer Raza highlighted the several ongoing mega projects at Heavy Industries Taxila.

Major General Syed Aamer Raza also highlighted the significance of HIT for its contribution towards achieving the self-sufficiency and self-reliance in the defense sector.
