PAKISTAN ARMY Appoints Former DG ISPR Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor As New Corps Commander Quetta After The Martyrdom Of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali:

PAKISTAN ARMY, the Guardians of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, has appointed the NATION’s Beloved former DG ISPR Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor as the new Corps Commander Quetta after the Martyrdom of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali in a Helicopter Crash on Thursday, August 4, 2022, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an Official statement.

According to the details, the Former DG ISPR Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor was appointed as the DG ISPR back in December 2016 and he proudly served the institution for three and a half years (2016 – 2020) before being appointed as GC Okara back in January 2020.

Previously, PAKISTAN ARMY has confirmed the news regarding the Shahadat of Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali and 5 Other Senior PAKISTAN ARMY Officers in a Helicopter crash during the flood relief operation near Lasbela.

“The wreckage of unfortunate helicopter which was on flood relief operation found in Musa Goth, Windar, Lasbela. All 6 officers & soldiers including Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali embraced Shahadat. The accident occurred due to bad weather as per initial investigations,” DGISPR Tweeted.

The military’s media affairs wing, ISPR, said in a statement: “In his new role, he is replacing Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, who embraced shahadat (martyrdom) in a helicopter crash due to bad weather during flood relief operations in Lasbela, Balochistan, on 1 August 2022 (Monday).”

The new Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in PAKISTAN ARMY Promotion Board meeting back in November 2022.

Former DG ISPR and the new Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor has also participated in the Kargil War and he also Commanded a PAK ARMY Division in the War against indian and iranian state sponsored terrorism in Sacred Country PAKISTAN.

It is highly expected that after the new appointment, the Former DG ISPR and the New Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor will continue to Serve his Sacred Country PAKISTAN with unshakable Resolve, Commitment and Dedication.
