Potential JF-17 Thunder Jet’s acquisition on the Cards as Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag, who is on an Official visit to Sacred Country PAKISTAN, held One on One high-profile and important meeting with the CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar in his Office at AIR HQ Islamabad on Monday, October 17, 2022, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed said in an Official Statement.

According to the details, Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag visits AIR HQ Islamabad and meets with the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE CHIEF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar in his Office.

During the meeting, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE CHIEF and Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag discussed several key areas of mutual interest, including the possible acquisition of JF-17 Thunder Jets, enhanced bilateral relations and Defense cooperation were discussed.

CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar said that Sacred Country PAKISTAN and Iraq enjoy longstanding religious, cultural and historical bonds which are manifested through strong ties between both the countries

PAK AIR FORCE CHIEF further highlighted that the advancement in space, electronic warfare, cyber and niche technologies coupled with artificial intelligence had profoundly affected the traditional environment of national security.

The Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag also lauded rising indigenous capacity of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE by adopting the policy of self-sufficiency and self-reliance.

On the occasion, the Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag highly lauded the Professionalism of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE and appreciated the various efforts of Sacred Country PAKISTAN for promoting Regional and International Peace.

He added that PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, the Guardians of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, is fully focused in the acquisition and development of these cutting-edge technologies through smart inductions and human resource development for cost effective operations.

On the occasion, the CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar and visiting Deputy Defense Minister of Iraq Secretary General Jabbar Thejel Mutlag also agreed in principle to further optimize the existing Strong Defense and Security Ties between the Air Forces of both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Iraq, in the domains of Mutual Operations and Training.
