Indian Braces more humiliations in the international community as PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother, All Weather Ally and Strategic Partner CHINA has categorically and firmly rejected all the objection of india over the construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam in Gilgit Baltistan. CHINA said that Diamer-Bhasha Dam project is mutually beneficial and Win Win for the “Two All-Weather Friends” and Strategic Partners.

At a regular briefing in Beijing, CHINESE Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian firmly rejected all the objects and allegations and objections of india over the project and said that the main purpose of Economic Cooperation between PAKISTAN and CHINA is to further improve the socio-economic uplift and well-being of the local proud local population residing in both the Brotherly countries.
“CHINA and PAKISTAN conduct the economic cooperation in order to promote the economic development and improve the well-being of the local population,” CHINESE Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said in a regular press briefing in Beijing.

The objections were raised by the indian external affairs ministry, which CHINA has rejected firmly and categorically. Referring to the indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (iOJ&K) issue, CHINESE Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijiang said the CHINA’s principal position on the indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir (iOJ&K) is very clear and termed that it is a disputed area between PAKISTAN and india and needs to be solved according to the charter and resolutions of the United Nations.

It is worth mentioning that PAKISTAN has announced the immediate construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam in Gilgit Baltistan with the Technical Support of CHINESE Engineers, Technicians and Consultants. PAKISTAN’s decision caused a lot of panic in the indian government and indian armed forces and they raised their objection to CHINA, which CHINA has firmly rejected and india braces more humiliations in the region and the international community.
It is important to mention that Diamer-Bhasha Dam, constructed in Gilgit Baltistan, is basically a 4,500-Megawatt project that would be one of the largest Dams in the world after its completion.
The total estimated cost for the Diamer-Bhasha Dam is estimated at 15 Billion USD. The dam would be built on 32,000 acres of Land, including 162 Acres in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa and 31,977 Acres in Gilgit-Baltistan.
PAKISTAN’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) said on Wednesday that the construction contract of the Diamer-Bhasha Dam in Gilgit Baltistan has already been awarded to a joint venture between PAKISTAN ARMY’s Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and Power CHINA. Both the companies will commence the construction project very soon.
The Diamer-Bhasha Dam will have 14 gates, five flushing outlets for silt and a spillway. The diversion system of the dam consisting of diversion canal and two tunnels having lengths up to one kilometer each. An additional 21 Megawatt capacity power plant to be built near the Dam construction site to fulfill the energy requirements during the construction process.
The gross storage capacity of PAKISTAN’s Diamer-Bhasha Dam would be 8.1 MAF (Million Acre Feet) with an annual generation of 18.1 Billion Units. The proposed Diamer-Bhasha Dam is expected to be completed by the year of 2028.
Having said that, the construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam will also help to prolong the life of Tarbela Dam for up to 30 Years.
Diamer-Bhasha Dam project holds great significance for PAKISTAN and CHINA and both the All Weather Ally and Strategic Partners will leave no stone unturned to make this project another success story and it would also set an example for the international community as well.
“We highly appreciate PAKISTAN’s objective and just position on this issue and we will like to continue to uphold the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind, strengthen cooperation with the international community including PAKISTAN and work together to win this fight against the virus.” Zhao continued.
Responding to another question, CHINESE Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijiang high appreciated the unanimous resolution passed by the Senate of PAKISTAN thanking CHINA and CHINESE President Xi Jinping for the support it had provided to PAKISTAN to fight the Covid-19 Pandemic.
He remarked that at the early stage of the Pandemic, PAKISTAN poured all-out possible domestic resources to help CHINA fight the pandemic. Now, CHINA has also provided assistance to the country in fighting the Covid-19 Pandemic.
