COAS General Bajwa Vows VT-4 Main Battle Tank Is Another Symbol Of PAKISTAN And CHINA Strategic Defense Ties:
PAK ARMY CHIEF, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said VT-4 Main Battle Tank is another symbol of PAKISTAN and CHINA strategic defense ties on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the DG ISPR, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Gujranwala to witness the commissioning ceremony of state of the art CHINESE-made VT-4 Main Battle Tank into the Strike Formation of PAKISTAN ARMY.
A demonstration of PAKISTAN ARMY’s newly inducted VT-4 Main Battle Tank was given to the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa during the visit.
“VT-4 Tank is another symbol of PAKISTAN-CHINA strategic cooperation and defense collaboration, and its induction will boost strike capabilities of our formations,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa terms the induction of VT-4 MBT as a ‘robust warfighting machine.”
“The fast-changing dynamics of warfare demand the highest degree of professionalism and rigorous training with due focus on harnessing sophisticated technologies,” DG ISPR added in the statement.

The VT-4 or MBT3000 is basically a CHINESE-origin third generation Main Battle Tank built by the CHINESE Defense Giant Norinco.
“Based on its advanced armor protection, high maneuverability and exceptional firepower, VT-4 can be compared with any modern main battle tank of the world,” DG ISPR added.
The VT-4 Main Battle Tank is made with the advanced armor protection, exceptional firepower and high maneuverability. With all these distinctive features, the VT-4 Main Battle Tank can easily be compared to any modern Main Battle Tank of the world.
“Equipped with an auto transmission system and deep water fording operation capability, it is considered “as a potent weapon of strike formations,” DG ISPR added.

During the visit, PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited the Dynamic Integrated Training Simulation specifically designed for VT-4 Main Battle Tank.
While interacting with the troops, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that continuous up-gradation of conventional capabilities is imperative to deter aggression and for maintaining a qualitative edge over the adversary in the battlefield.
CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa further added that the fast changing dynamic of hybrid complex warfare demand rigorous training and the highest degree of professionalism by harnessing the sophisticated technologies.
