Lieutenant General Muhammad Aamer Assume Responsibility Of Gujranwala Corps Commander:
Days after the announcement from PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, regarding the major level promotions and appointments in the organization, Lieutenant General Muhammad Aamer had assumed the command of Gujranwala Corps Commander in a prestigious change of command ceremony held at the Gujranwala Cantonment, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, Lieutenant General Asim Munir handed over the Command of Gujranwala Corps Commander to the newly appointed Corps Commander Gujranwala Muhammad Aamer.
Lieutenant General Asim Munir has been appointed as the Quartermaster General (QMG) during the announcement of a major reshuffle in the Organization by the ISPR earlier this month.
It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the DG ISPR, announced the appointment of Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence.
General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum will replace the current DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed in a major reshuffle and appointments in the organization.
Earlier on October 6th, 2021, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar also announced the appointments of Peshawar, Gujranwala and Karachi Corps Commanders, including the Quartermaster General and Chief of General Staff.
The current Head of the Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been reported as the Corps Commander Peshawar.
The post of the DG ISI is considered as the most important and coveted post in the organizational structure of the PAKISTAN ARMY after the post of PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF.
Along with this appointment, the current DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has also been slated his name for the upcoming post of CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) after the retirement of the current COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa in 2023.
