Over 2,500 Shooters Participates In The 41st PAKISTAN ARMY Rifle Association Central Meet At The Marksman Unit In Jhelum:

Over 2,500 Shooters from PAKISTAN ARMY, PAKISTAN NAVY, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, Rangers, Frontier Corps and Airport Security Force (ASF) participated in the 41st PAKISTAN ARMY Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet at the ARMY Marksmanship Unit in Jhelum, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details, the 41st PAKISTAN ARMY Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet is in progress at ARMY Marksmanship Unit, Jhelum since October 25, 2021.

“Approximately 2,500 firers from the ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE and Civil Armed Forces (CAFs), including Rangers, the Frontier Corps and Airport Security Force, as well as civilians are participating in the shooting competition,” DG ISPR said.

The 41st PAKISTAN ARMY Rifle Association (PARA) is one of the mega event that consists of different events and a range of weapons. PAKISTAN ARMY is the defending Champion of the event.

In intra-army events, a total of 18 different teams consists of 1,024 shooters participated in which the Multan Corps came first followed by the Mangla Corps.

In the Civil Armed Forces Category, Punjab Rangers clinched the first position, while the Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts were the runners-up.

In the Inter-Services Competitions, the PAKISTAN ARMY won all the three contests, including the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS), CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) and CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) and the PAKISTAN ARMY also won the International Military Shooting Championship.

In the event, the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE remained the runners-up in the CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) and CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) matches, while the PAKISTAN NAVY was runners-up in the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Match.

“The PAF remained runners-up in COAS and CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Matches while PAKISTAN NAVY was runners-up in CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Match,” DGPR NAVY added.

The Open National Matches are in progress since November 24 and will remain continue till the 30th November. The closing ceremony of the 41st PAKISTAN ARMY Rifle Associate (PARA) would be held on December 2, 2021.
