The promotion of the 22 x Brigadiers of PAK ARMY were approved by the PAK ARMY Promotion Board headed by the PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir.

According to the details, More Blessings for the Best and Great PAKISTANI NATION as PAK ARMED FORCES promoted 22 x Brigadiers to the Rank of Major General with Immediate Effect on Friday, 5th July 2024, PAK MILITARY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in an Official Statement.

The formal decision was taken at a meeting of the board held at the General Headquarters. PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir presided over the meeting.

Those promoted include: Brigadier Adnan Sultan, Brigadier Usman Kiyani, Brigadier Imran Sartaj, Brigadier Yahya Usman, Brigadier Usman Iqbal, Brigadier Jolian, Brigadier Saeed Anwar, Brigadier Arfan Ramay and Brigadier Attiq.

Brigadiers promoted to the two-star rank belonged to various corps – including Armed Corps, Artillery, Air Defense, Aviation, Infantry Corps of Military Intelligence (ICME) and EME. Among the officers got promotion included current military secretaries.

Those promoted from the Infantry include Brigadier Mehr Omer, Brigadier Imtiaz Gillani, Brigadier Ahmed Jawad, Brigadier Tajdeed, Brigadier Bilal Sarfraz, Brigadier Khurram Shabbir, Brigadier Faisal Saud, Brigadier Abid Mazhar, Brigadier Shehryar Muneer, Brigadier Shehryar Qureshi, Brigadier Adil Iftikhar, Brigadier Amjad Aziz, and Brigadier Zulfikar Shaheen.
