PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir highly lauded the capabilities of the HIT Personnel during the High-profile Official Visit to Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in an Official Statement.
According to the details, PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir visited the Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), where he inspected various strategically important projects that are being completed at the facility.
CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Asim Munir visited various factories of the Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) and witnessed the manufacturing, rebuilding and upgradation of Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s Main Battle Tanks (MBTs), Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), Remote Weapon Systems, Enhance Protection Solutions and Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s indigenous 155mm Artillery Gun Battel being manufactured for the PAK ARMY.
The HIT Chairman received, welcomed and greeted the COAS General Asim Munir and he later briefed the PAK ARMY CHIEF regarding the latest developments in the Defense production.
During the visit, PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir was thoroughly briefed about the various strategically important projects during his visit on the technical capabilities of the HIT, the progress of ongoing projects, indigenisation efforts, and recently undertaken modernisation measures.
COAS General Asim Munir highlighted that Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) is a Hub of Knowledge Economy and research and development (R&D), which is key to achieving self-reliance in defence production and contributes towards national exports and the country’s economy.
PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir stressed upon the importance of the Self-reliance in the Defense Production, praising the Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) for its unmatched and distinctive contributions towards achieving this goal.
On the occasion, COAS General Asim Munir expressed his confidence in the capabilities of the HIT personnel and appreciated the commitment of officers and workforce to transform HIT into a modern Defense production establishment that meets the requirements of the PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) at par with international standards.
