PAKISTAN ARMY Participates In 20-Nations Multinational Joint Exercise Bright Star 2021 At Mohamed Naguib Military Base In Egypt:
PAKISTAN ARMY participated in the Multinational Joint Military dubbed Bright Star 2021 held at the Mohamed Naguib Military Base in Egypt on Sunday, September 19, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, PAKISTAN ARMY participates in the Joint Military Exercise named as Bright Star 2021 in Egypt after the gap of 13 years.
This is the very first time since 2009, that PAKISTAN TRI-ARMED SERVICES Contingent comprising of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, PAKISTAN NAVY and PAKISTAN ARMY participated in the two weeks Bright Star 2021 Exercise after the span of 13 years.
The military contingents of a total of 20 countries are participating in the Exercise, including PAKISTAN, Nigeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Morocco, Kenya, Kuwait, UAE, Tunisia, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Sudan, Tanzania, United States, France and united kingdom.
PAKISTAN ARMY Engineer-in-Chief Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz participated in the closing ceremony of the exercise.
The two weeks long Bright Star 2021 Multinational Joint Exercise focused on enhancing the professionalism and interoperability amongst the participating countries to counter regional hybrid threats, joint force integration, strengthen the regional stability by fostering combined force interoperability and by enhancing the maritime security operations.
“The two weeks long exercise was focused on the capability to counter regional hybrid threats, strengthen regional stability by fostering combined force interoperability, joint force integration and enhance maritime security operations,” DG ISPR said.
Egyptian Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defense General Mohamed Zaki the officials from the 20 participating countries, including PAKISTAN, witnessed the final phase of the Joint military training that also includes the live firing of different weapons, including helicopters, tanks and aircrafts.
PAKISTAN ARMY Engineer-in-Chief Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz also met with the Egyptian Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid and Air Commander Mohamed Abbas Helmy.
It is expected that the recent participation of PAKISTAN ARMY Troops in the Bright Star 2021 Multinational Military Exercise will significantly help to further strengthen the interoperability among the troops.
