PAKISTAN successfully test fires the Nuclear-capable Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile capable to strike deep indian Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DGISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement on the official Twitter account.

CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEF OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza witnessed the high-profile test launch as the Chief Guest.

The Shaheen-3 Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile can carry both Nuclear and Conventional Warhead up to the range of 2,750 Kilometers. During the test, the missile hit the designated target in the Arabian Sea with pinpoint accuracy.

“PAKISTAN conducted successful flight test of #Shaheen-3 surface 2 surface ballistic missile, having range of 2750 Kms. Flt test aimed @ revalidating various design & tech parameters of weapon system. President, PM, CJCSC & Services Chiefs have congratulated scientists & engineers,” DGISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the ISPR, the recent upgraded version of the Shaheen-III Nuclear-capable Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile Test was aimed at revalidating various technical and design parameters.

The recent upgraded version of Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile features new warhead, new terminal guidance system and improved thrust vectoring from its previous version.

President, Prime Minister, CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEF OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) and SERVICES CHIEF congratulated the Scientists, Engineers and Technicians over the successfully launch of Shaheen 3 Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile.

It is pertinent to mention that Shaheen-III is the longest range Nuclear-capable Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile in the Arsenal of PAKISTAN ARMY. The missile can hit the designated target with pinpoint accuracy up to the range of 2750 Kilometers with pinpoint accuracy.

Moreover, Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile is also capable to hit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which hosts the arsenal and stockpile of all indian conventional and nuclear missiles.

PAKISTAN unveiled and successfully test fired the Shaheen-III Nuclear Capable Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile back in March 3, 2015. PAKISTAN unveiled the Shaheen 3 Missile to the world in response to india’s agni III surface to surface ballistic missile.

According to the PAKISTAN ARMY Director General Strategic Plans Division (DG SPD), the main goal of the Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile is capable to hit deep inside indian Andaman and Nicobar Islands, so that india cannot use these islands as ‘Strategic Missile Bases’ for second strike capability.

The recent test launched of the upgraded version of the Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile will significantly improve the offensive capability of PAKISTAN MILITARY against india, who is the arch-rival of both the Iron Brother Countries of CHINA and PAKISTAN.
