Special Forces Operators of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN And Russian Federation Freed Hostages And Neutralized Mock Terrorists During DRUZHBA-V 2020 Exercise:
The fifth edition of the PAKISTAN-Russia DRUZHBA-V 2020 Exercise Successfully progressing at Tarbela in ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN. The Special Forces Operators of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN conducted the destruction, annihilation and storming of the mock terrorists.

The Special Operations Forces of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN and Russian Federation also freed the several hostages during a daring rescue mission and they also provided the medical aid to the critically wounded hostages being wounded during the search and rescue operation during the DRUZHBA-V 2020 Exercise.
According to the devise plan of the exercise, a group of highly dangerous and armed terrorists stormed and occupied the residential building by capturing all the civilians inside. In order to break the siege of terrorists, the Special Forces Operators of both ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN and the Russian Federation conduct special covert operation.

During the operation, some units of the Special Forces dropped on building by using the Mi-17 Multipurpose Helicopter and they soon joined the other operators. From the ground side, the detachment of Special Forces Operators were arrived at the scene in the state of the art M113 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) of the PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES.

At the start of the search and rescue operation, the detachment units and mixed reconnaissance groups covertly made their way into the area of the captured building and started the all out assault actions.

During the assault action, firefighting and explosion started in the building and the Special Operation Forces provided critical medical aid to the critically wounded hostages, which got injured during the firefighting and explosions.
It is pertinent to mention that during the assault, the Special Forces Operators of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN and the Russian Federation communicated in Urdu and Russian languages at the same time, which is the Official Languages of both PAKISTAN and Russia.
By conducting such hostage rescue operations, the Russian Special Forces Operators also gained valuable experience to conduct joint operations at training on foreign ground.

The hostage rescue mission was mock exercise. However, in order to put a realistic touch to the environment as close as possible to the real world combat, different simulation tools were used, including the smoke bombs, explosive packs and blank rifle cartridges.
In order to disorient the enemy, the Sappers from the different attachments of PAKISTAN and Russian Armed Forces covertly placed charges and explosives having a total mass of more than 1 Kg in Trinitrotoluene or TNT. The explosives were detonated at a remote distance during the mock up hostage rescue exercise.

On the other hand, the Combat Training tasks conducted at the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) at Pabbi in PAKISTAN. The combat training Exercises are part of the preparation for the final stage of the DRUZHBA-V 2020 Joint Friendship Drills.
The first stage of the Combat Exercise took place in the facility of the Training Center for the Special Operation Forces of PAKISTAN ARMY in Tarbela.

During the exercise, more than 150 Special Forces Operators and detachment units of the PAKISTAN ARMY and Special Forces Company of the Southern Military District (SMD) of the Russian Armed Forces took part in the exercise.
