Keel Laying Ceremony Of The PAKISTAN NAVY First Highly Advanced And Stealth HANGOR-Class AIP Attack Submarine And Steel Cutting Ceremony Of Second AIP Attack Submarine Held At KS&EW:
Sacred Country PAKISTAN achieved another Milestone as the Keel Laying ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY First HANGOR-Class Highly Advanced and Stealth AIP-based Attack Submarine and the Steel Cutting ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY Second Attack Submarine held at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW), Karachi on Saturday, December 24, 2022, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an Official Statement.
PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi graced the Keel Laying and Steel Cutting Ceremony as the Chief Guest.
While speaking on the occasion, the CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi said that it is a matter of great pride to witness the Keel Laying and Steel Cutting of two submarines concurrently at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW).
He added that PAKISTAN NAVY is aware of the evolving Geo-strategic situation in our region.
He added that the addition of such cutting-edge and Highly Advanced AIP-based Attack Submarines will continue to develop naval potential, improve shipbuilding infrastructure and equip platforms with advanced weapons/ sensors to counter traditional as well as asymmetric threats.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi showed the complete confidence that these State of the Art AIP Attack Submarines will play the leading Role in catering all the Operational and Offensive Requirements of PAKISTAN NAVY against the terrorist country india.
Earlier the distinguished Rep of M/s CHINA Shipbuilding Offshore Company (CSOC) expressed his gratitude for the ceremony.
He added that his company will ensure seamless provision of all resources/ support for smooth construction of submarines in Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
The distinguished Rep of M/s CHINA Shipbuilding Offshore Company (CSOC) further said that PAK-CHINA friendship is deep rooted and share common objectives.
It is pertinent to mention that the Sacred Country PAKISTAN has cut One of the Biggest Defense Deals in the entire history with its Iron Brother CHINA for the construction of the 8 Numbers of Highly Advanced and Stealth AIP Attack Submarines.
According to the contract, 4 of the Submarines would be constructed by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group (WSIG) in CHINA, while the remaining 4 state of the art Stealth AIP Attack Submarines would be constructed in Sacred Country PAKISTAN at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) under the Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement.
The Construction work of the PAKISTAN NAVY First Submarine commenced in Dec 21 at KS&EW and now the Keel of the Submarine is being laid, which is a major and significant milestone in the entire history of any of the Naval Vessel being constructed.
Concurrently, the Steel Cutting Ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY Second AIP Attack Submarine also undertake by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW).
Details of PAKISTAN NAVY HANGOR-Class AIP Attack Submarine:
The HANGOR-Class Submarine is a next generation AIP-based Attack Submarine that can easily undertakes any complex mission requirement as per the operational dictates.
The HANGOR-Class AIP Attack Submarines possessed the Advanced Stealth Features and equipped with the State of the Art Lethal Munitions, Weapons and Missiles to operate under the multi-threat environment and it can also engage targets at stand-off ranges with pinpoint accuracy.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of M/s CSOC (China) and other high ranking officials including distinguished guests from the Embassy of PAKISTAN Iron Brother CHINA, Ministry of Defense Production (MoDP), PAKISTAN NAVY (PN) and Representatives from the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW).
