PAKISTAN NAVY biennially TRI-SERVICES Wargames SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII successfully commenced at Karachi on Monday, August 10, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head, the opening Brief ceremony PAKISTAN NAVY biennially TRI-SERVICES Wargames SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII Successfully commenced at Karachi.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi graced the Opening Ceremony as the Chief Guest of the occasion.
During the opening ceremony, the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal highlighted the overview of the SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII. He also outlines the basic concepts and objectives for demonstration during the exercise.
“PAKNAVY War game SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII commenced at Khi. Chief Guest CNS Adm Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi during his address, highlighted Pakistan’s internal & external challenges. Naval Chief underscored significance of war games in military planning process,” DGPR NAVY said.

The Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal highlighted that the TRI-ARMED SERVICES OF PAKISTAN and the Government Ministries will also participate in the exercise.
It is pertinent to mention that SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII is the Flagship War Game PAKISTAN that is held biennially to corroborate the various concepts, which are being introduced and incorporated in the Modern Naval Warfare domain.
While addressing the ceremony, CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi highlighted that PAKISTAN NAVY is facing a multitude of external and internal security challenges, which necessitate the strong resolve and vigilance.
While highlighting the Kashmir dispute, CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute remains the flash point between PAKISTAN and it is coward arch rival, india.
“The Adm appreciated Force Commander presentation outlining concept and objective of war game. CNS highlighted that merchant traffic to/from Gwadar port in backdrop of #CPEC will increase and so will the responsibility of PN to ensure security of Sea Lines of communications,” DGPR NAVY added.

On the occasion, CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi emphasized the significance of SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII War Games in the overall military planning process.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi highly appreciated the well-organized presentations of the Force Commanders of PAKISTAN NAVY, which would significantly help to enhance and strengthen the maritime security of PAKISTAN.
CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi reiterate the ever-increased relevance of PAKISTAN NAVY in the backdrop of CPEC and the operationalization of Multi-Billion Dollars Gwadar Port.
CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi said that the barbaric and heinous war crimes being committed by the coward indian security forces against the Brave Kashmiri Citizens will have serious implications towards the Security and Stability in the South Asia and the World at large.
CNS added that the increases to/from Traffic from Gwadar port will significantly increases the responsibility of PAKISTAN NAVY to ensure the unhindered flow of traffic in the Sacred Maritime Frontiers of PAKISTAN.
CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi highlighted that the Security, Stability and economic well-being of PAKISTAN is directly linked with the freedom to use the Seas for trade. He added that the overall prosperity of our Nation is intrinsically linked with the security and stability of the Sea Lines of Communication.

SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR is Flag ship war game of PN that is held biennially to corroborate various concepts which are validated in subsequent maritime exercises prior being incorporated in naval strategy. War Game will comprise participation of Tri-Services & Govt Ministries.(3/3)

The Opening Ceremony of SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-VIII Naval Drills was attended by the Officers from TRI-ARMED FORCES and Bureaucrats.
Upon arrival, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi was warmly received, welcomed and received by the Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi.
