The prestigious and gracious ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY Coastal Command Annual Efficiency Competition Parade & Award Ceremony held at PNS QASIM, Karachi on Friday 3rd January, 2020, PAKISTAN NAVY Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Rear Admiral Arshid Javed stated in an official statement.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi graced the prestigious ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Upon the arrival, the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi was warmly welcomes, greeted and received by the Commander Coast (COMCOAST) Rear Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi.
Addressing the ceremony, PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF highlighted the capability and capacity of Coastal Command of PAKISTAN NAVY that has been entrusted by the Brave, Proud, Valiant and Great PAKISTANI Nation safeguarding and protecting all the Sacred Coastal Areas of PAKISTAN from Sir Creek to Jiwani, under challenging security situation and harsh climatic and topographic environment.

During the occasion, the PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi expressed deep satisfaction over the round the clock operational preparedness of PAKISTAN NAVAL Fleet and PAKISTAN NAVAL Forces of the Sacred country, PAKISTAN.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi further said that the PAKISTAN NAVY Coastal Command is fully ready, equipped and armed to teeth to tackle the security challenges of multi-billion dollars CHINA PAKISTAN Economic Corridor Project and operationalization of Gwadar port.
The Commander Coast (COMCOAST) Rear Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi presented the duties and responsibilities of Coastal Command Major Operational Activities undertaken during the last year of 2019 by encompassing multi-dimensional events related to Post Pulwama stand-off.
The Commander Coastal Command (COMCOAST) further highlighter that Coastal Command has successfully completed several projects related to socio-economic uplift of local population along the different coastal areas of the country.
In the end, the Chief Guest of the Ceremony CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF gave away Awards and Shields to the Winner and Runner-up Units in each category of the PAKISTAN NAVY Coastal Annual Efficiency Competition. The PAKISTAN NAVY Coastal Command Annual Efficiency Competition Parade & Award Ceremony was attended by the large number of PAKISTAN NAVY Officers, Sailors/CPOs and prominent dignitaries from different walk of life.
It is worth noting that PAKISTAN NAVY Coastal Command Annual Efficiency Competition Parade & Award Ceremony is conducted each year by the Coastal Command (COMCOAST) of PAKISTAN NAVY to mark the achievements of its operational year. Moreover, different Awards, Medals and Shields are awarded to the select Units of Coastal Command based on achievements in domains of administrative, operational and extra-curricular through out the operational year.
