9th Edition Of PAKISTAN CHINA Joint Air Drills Shaheen-IX Successfully Concludes With Resolve To Jointly Cope With Shared Security Challenges:
The ninth Edition of PAKISTAN CHINA Joint Air Drills Shaheen-IX successfully concluded at the Operational Air Base with the resolve to jointly cope with the Shared Security Challenges, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR PAF said in an official statement on the famous microblogging website.
CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan graced the concluding ceremony as the Chief Guest. While, CHINESE Ambassador to PAKISTAN, H.E Mr. Nong Rong also attended the ceremony as a Guest of Honor.
“PAK-CHINA Air Exercise “Shaheen-IX” culminated with a resolve to jointly cope with SHARED SECURITY CHALLENGES. Air Chf Mshl Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chf of Air Staff, PAF was chief guest at the occasion. CHINESE Ambassador to PAKISTAN, H.E. Mr. Nong Rong, was the guest of honour,” DGPR PAF said in a statement.
On the occasion, PAKISTAN AIR CHIEF Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan expressed his gratitude to the Commander PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY AIR FORCE General Ding Laihang and CHINESE Government for sending a large number of contingent to PAKISTAN in order to participate in the Ninth Edition of the Shaheen-IX Exercise despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
While addressing the participants, CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said that “The existing global security scenario coupled with the evolving dynamics of air warfare called for enhanced partnership between PAKISTAN and CHINA as indeed between our armed forces.”
“He also added that CPEC was a manifestation of our common objectives & destiny,” ACM added.
The Shaheen (Eagle)-IX Joint Air Drills between the latest Aircraft and Air Defense Elements from the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE (PAF) and PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY AIR FORCE (PLAAF).
While speaking on the occasion, the Guest of Honor of the Ceremony, CHINESE Ambassador to PAKISTAN, Mr. Nong Rong said “International and regional strategic situation is undergoing profound changes with growing complexity. This calls for the collaboration of our two countries and armed forces in maintaining peace and stability and to cope with various challenges.”
This is the ninth consecutive edition of the PAKISTAN-CHINA strategic Shaheen Series Bilateral Joint Air Drills start back in 2011 from PAKISTAN. After that, the Shaheen Series Exercise held alternatively in each country, PAKISTAN and CHINA.

CHINA is an Iron Brother and All Weather Strategic Ally of PAKISTAN. Both the Brotherly and Friendly countries always stand with each other through thick and thin.
The recent visit of the contingent of the Brotherly PLAAF to the Brotherly Country PAKISTAN will significantly help to further strengthen and augment the Bilateral Defense Relation and Military Relations between the Two Brotherly Countries.
