Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea Irabor expressed deep and complete satisfaction over the formidable capabilities and potential of PAKISTAN’s Pride JF-17 Thunder Omni-Role Fighter Jet on Friday, April 22, 2022, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia said in an official statement.
According to the details, Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea held One on One, high-profile and important meeting with CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar at Air HQ Islamabad.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed matters pertaining to ‘Mutual Professional Interest’, including the further enhancement of bilateral ties between both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries.
On the occasion, the Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea highly appreciated the sound professionalism of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the distinct achievements made by the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE over the years by adopting the policy of self-reliance and indigenization.
CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar said that both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Nigeria, had decades long Religious, Historical and Cultural Bonds, which are further manifested through the strong ties between the Air Forces of both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries.
During the meeting, the Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea expressed his deep satisfaction on the unmatched performance and capabilities of PAKISTAN’s Indigenously developed JF-17 Thunder Omni-Role Fighter Jet.
The Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea also expressed his satisfaction on the acquisition of JF-17 Thunder Omni-Role Fighter Jets in the combat arsenal of the Nigerian Air Force.
The Chief of Defense Staff Nigerian Armed Forces General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea categorically made it clear that PAKISTAN’s Pride JF-17 Thunder Multi-Role Fighter Jet would prove to be a great asset in addressing all the present and future security concerns of Nigeria.

On the occasion, both the dignitaries agreed in principle to further revitalize the Defense and Security Ties between both the countries, including the indigenous production and military training.
It is expected that the recent visit of Nigerian CDS will help to further strengthen the Bilateral Security and Defense relations between the Air, Armed and Naval Forces of both the friendly countries.
