Nation Observes Air Force Day Today to Pay Tribute To Martyrs Of PAF:
PAKISTANI Nation observes the 54th Air Force Day on each 7th September across the country to pay a tribute and homage to the Martyrs and Ghazis of the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, who sacrifice their lives to protect the God Gifted country of PAKISTAN during the 1965 PAKISTAN india war.

The main ceremony of the Air Force Day was held at the Air Headquarters Islamabad.
PAKISTAN AIR CHIEF Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said on the occasion, “PAF’s victory against the enemy during Operation Swift Retort manifested Pak pilots’ capabilities…Sacrifices of our forefathers demand unity and patriotism among us.”
PAKISTAN AIR CHIEF Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan reiterated that PAKISTAN will always support their oppressed Kashmiri Brothers for their struggle for the due-right of the self-determination as per the resolution of the United Nations.
Later, PAKISTAN AIR CHIEF laid floral wreath at the Martyrs Monument and recite Faatiha on the occasion for the departed souls.
Another ceremony was also held at the tomb of the Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed NISHAAN E HAIDAR. A smart contingent of the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE officers led by the Air Vice Marshal Ghulam Abbas Ghumman Air Officer Commanding, Southern Air Command, laid a floral wreath on the behalf of PAKISTAN AIR CHIEF and recite Faatiha on the occasion.

The Hero of the 1965 War was Air Commodore (then Squadron Leader) MM ALAM (Sitara-e-Jurrat), who downed more than 5 indian air planes in less than a minute.
This is the World Record and no one in the world able to break this record even after passing nearly the 5 decades. The Ace and Legend MM ALAM dies on March 18, 2013 at Karachi (May His Soul Always Rest in Peace).

The entire PAKISTANI Nation celebrated the Air Force Day with the traditional Zeal and fervor to pay tribute to the Brave and Valiant Shaheens of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, who easily laid down their lives for the sake of this sacred country PAKISTAN.
