Corps Commander Mangla Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood Visits Armored Division:
Corps Commander Mangla Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood visited the Armored Division of PAKISTAN ARMY on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corps Commander Mangla Lt. General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood visited the Armored Division.
“Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood Commander Mangla Corps visited Armored Division. Maj Gen Rashid Mahmood briefed about ongoing post shipment inspections of the first batch of newly inducted state of the art VT-4 tanks,” DG ISPR said.
During the visit, Major General Rashid Mahmood briefed the Corps Commander Mangla Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood about the ongoing post shipment inspections of the first batch of newly inducted state of the art Third Generation VT4 Main Battle Tank (MBT).
On the occasion, the Corps Commander Mangla witnessed the maneuverability and performance test of VT4 Main Battle Tanks.
“Corps Commander witnessed the mobility and maneuverability test of tanks and appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Formation for smooth conduct of the induction process,” DG ISPR added.
Corps Commander Mangla Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood highly lauded and appreciated the precious efforts undertaken by the Formation to streamline the induction process.
It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN ARMY has taken the delivery of undisclosed numbers of state of the art and cutting-edge 3rd Generation VT4 Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) from its Iron Brother CHINA last month. CHINA also provided PAKISTAN with the additional parts of the modernized Al-Khalid 1 Main Battle Tank.
VT4 tank is equipped with the modern weaponry, advanced armor and cutting-edge fire control capabilities for the protection of combat forces in the hybrid warfare scenario.
Reportedly, VT4 Main Battle Tank is a state of the art modern Tank that is developed by CHINA’s state owned Defense Giant Norinco. The addition of these cutting-edge Main Battle Tanks will significantly increase the offense capability of PAKISTAN ARMY against the arch rival of both PAKISTAN and CHINA, the india.
