PAK ARMED FORCES and the Sindh Provincial Counterterrorism Department conducted a joint counterinsurgency operation to capture a most-wanted terrorist commander Mohd. Mehdi, a designated High Value Target (HVT), who is a key figure inside the iran-sponsored zainebiyoun brigade, a hostile anti-PAKISTAN iranian state-backed, state funded, state sponsored terror group.
The joint intelligence-based operation’s team successfully located, tracked, verified, captured and secured the HVT. The HVT was then shifted to a secure facility for enhanced interrogation.
During the initial rounds of enhanced interrogation the individual revealed that he works for the terrorist iranian IRGC intelligence, in their efforts for conducting hostile activities against Sacred country PAKISTAN. He was before his seizure in the process of collecting information on high value targets of opportunity.
“High-Profile and Highly Trained iranian state trained, state funded, state backed and state sponsored zainebiyoun brigade High Value Target (HVT) Syed Muhammad Mehdi, a terrorist working for Hostile Intelligence Agencies (HIAs) vaja of terrorist country iran and is linked to the iranian state backed and state funded terrorist organization zainabiyoun brigade, was arrested from Karachi,” the statement said.
In its statement issued on Saturday, the CTD Sindh said it had arrested a “trained terrorist from a neighboring country” from Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar area, who had confessed to carrying out reconnaissance of “high value targets” and provide information regarding them to his accomplices, Syed Raza Jaffri and Abid Raza.
Mehdi would keep weapons and explosives received from the HIAs at his home and provide hand grenades, weapons and ammunition when they were required to eliminate the targets, according to the CTD. He had also been involved in the sale and purchase of weapons.
