According to a press release issued by the INTER-SERVICES PUBLIC RELATIONS (ISPR), PAK ARY has appointed Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik, HI (M) as the new Director General of the INTER-SERVICES INTELLIGENCE (DG ISI).

The Newly promoted Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik Hilal-E-Imtiaz (MILITARY) is set to assume his new role on September 30, replacing the current DG. Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik will be succeeding Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum, who was appointed as DG ISI in 2021.
The newly promoted Lieutenant General Asim Malik, HI (M) is currently serving as Adjutant General at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The Newly promoted Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik Hilal-E-Imtiaz (MILITARY) was awarded the Coveted and Prestigious Sword of Honor during his MILITARY training at PAKISTAN MILITARY Academy (PMA) Kakul.
He has also served as Chief Instructor at the National Defense University (NDU) and as an instructor at Command and Staff College in Quetta.
In recognition of his Meritorious, Distinctive and Unmatched Services towards His Beloved Peace Loving Sacred Country PAKISTAN, the Newly promoted Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik awarded with the Coveted and Prestigious Hilal-E-Imtaiz (MILITARY) Medal.
Lt Gen Asim brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new position, having held various leadership roles in the military over the years.
His appointment comes at a critical time for Beloved Peace Loving Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s Most Feared and Potent intelligence agency INTER-SERVICES INTELLIGENCE, which plays a key role in both domestic and international security operations.
His educational background includes graduation from the United States Army’s Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies in the United Kingdom.
