President of the ISLAMIC Republic of PAKISTAN Confers the Coveted Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) upon PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir and CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza during a prestigious and graceful ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

Both the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) and CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza held their responsibilities few days ago.

Details of the COAS General Asim Munir Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipient:

The newly appointed PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir, Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipient, got commission in the April 1986 in the 23rd Frontier Force Regiment and he is also the recipient of the Coveted Sword of Honor of the 17th OTS Course.

He is a graduate of Fuji School, Japan, Command and Staff College, Quetta, Malaysian Armed Forces Command & Staff College, Kuala Lumpur and National Defense University, Islamabad. He also holds an M.Phil degree in Public Policy and Strategic Security Management.

Throughout his illustrative and distinguished career, the COAS General Asim Munir served on various key Command and Staff Appointments, including the Brigade Major of a deployed Infantry Brigade, General Staff Officer Grade-2 in Chief of General Staff Secretariat, Directing Staff in Command and Staff College, Quetta and Chief of Staff of a Strike Corps.

Moreover, the COAS General Asim Munir has also commanded the 23rd Frontier Force Regiment Infantry Brigade, 30 Corps and Force Command Northern Area (FCNA).

Moreover, he has also led the PAKISTANI Contingent in the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia, where he memorized the “HOLY QURAN” during his stay in the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia.

Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Asim Munir has a unique honor to head both the Premier Intelligence Agencies of Sacred Country PAKISTAN, including the INTER-SERVICES INTELLIGENCE (ISI) and MILITARY INTELLIGENCE (MI) as the Director General.

Before his appointment as the CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF (COAS), the COAS General Asim Munir served at the post of the Quarter Master General of the PAKISTAN ARMY.

General Asim Munir was promoted to the rank of General and appointed as 17th CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF (COAS) by General Headquarters (GHQ) on 29 November 2022.

He assumed his responsibilities as the 17th CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) of Sacred Country PAKISTAN on November 29, 2022.

Details of the CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipient:

The newly appointed 18th CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) got commission in 1987 in the Infantry Battalion. He graduated from the Command and Staff College Quetta and National Defense University (NDU) Islamabad.

Moreover, he also holds the M.Sc (Global Security) degree from the Cranfield University, United Kingdom.

His major staff appointments include Brigade Major of two Infantry Brigades, General Staff Officer (GSO) Grade-1 (Plans) at PAKISTAN Contingent United Nations Mission Sierra Leon, Director General Military Operations (DGMO), Vice Chief of General Staff, Adjutant General (AG) and Chief of General Staff (CGS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

The CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza assumed his responsibilities as the 18th CJCSC of Sacred Country PAKISTAN on November 27, 2022.
