Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s Newest ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir Appoints Major General Ahmed Sharif Of Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) As the New DG ISPR Of PAKISTAN ARMY:

Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s 17th and Newest ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Asim Munir has appointed the Major General Ahmed Sharif from the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) as the new DG ISPR of PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES with immediate effect on Friday, December 2, 2022, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar said in an Official Statement.

The newly appointed Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif will replace the existing DG ISPR Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar.

The existing DG ISPR Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar has now been posted as the Corps Commander of the V Corps in Karachi.

Brief Introduction of the newly appointed DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif:

The newly appointed Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has been previously served as the Director General of Defense Science and Technology Organization or DESTO.

The Defense Science and Technology is an Organization is engaged in the Scientific and Technical Research and Development of different Weapon Systems and Munitions in the disciplines of the Aerodynamics, Propulsions and Propellants and Avionics.

Moreover, the newly appointed DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif has also served in the PAKISTAN ARMY Military Operations Directorate.

The appointment of the DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif unprecedented, as Major General Ahmed Sharif would be the first Officers of the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) to hold the command of PAKISTAN MILITARY Media Wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) as the Director General (DG).

Previously, Major General Jehangir from the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) has also served as the Spokesperson of PAKISTAN ARMY back in early 1990s.

The incumbent post of the DG ISPR is for the rank of Major General of PAK ARMY and as the existing DG ISPR Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar has been promoted to 3-star General, so now he is heading towards Karachi as the Corps Commander V Corps of PAKISTAN ARMY.
