CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi Visited Strategic Naval Installations At Gwadar And Ormara:
CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi visited the Strategic coastal installations of PAKISTAN NAVY at Gwadar, Ormara and Turbat to review the combat readiness and operational preparedness of PAKISTAN NAVAL Force and PAKISTAN NAVAL Troops on November 12, 2020, PAKISTAN NAVY Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Rear Admiral Arshid Javed said in an official statement via official Twitter account.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY’s Media Wing DGPR, this is the most high profile and very first visit of the newly appointed CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi after assuming the Command of PAKISTAN NAVY.
Upon arrival at PNS SIDDIQUE, Naval Air Station, Turbat, the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazni was warmly received and welcomed by the Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) Rear Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
The CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi was thoroughly briefed about the Operations of Naval Air Arm at PNS SIDDIQUE. CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi later interacted with the PAKISTAN NAVY Troops deployed on the PNS SIDDIQUE, Turbat.
Later, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi left for PAKISTAN NAVAL Strategic Base at Gwadar, where he was thoroughly briefed about the Harbor Defense Force, Coastal Security Force and he was also briefed about the operations of Maritime Security Task Force 88.
PAKISTAN NAVY has newly established the Coastal Security Force and Harbor Defense Force to ensure the Maritime Security of CHINA PAKISTAN Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and Gwadar Port.
In his third leg of the visit, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also visited the Ormara, where he visited the JINNAH NAVAL BASE and PAKISTAN NAVY Cadet College.
Earlier upon arrival at Ormara, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi was warmly greeted, welcomed and received by the Commander Coast (COMCOAST) Admiral Zahid Ilyas.
Speaking on the occasion, the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi highlight the need and importance of robust security of the Sacred Maritime Frontiers of PAKISTAN, which significance has increased manifold in the context of the multi-billion CHINA PAKISTAN Economic Corridor or CPEC.
During the occasion, the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi said that security of the coastal areas is directly linked with the maritime security division.
On the occasion, CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi emphasized that the overall responsibilities of PAKISTAN NAVY would grow significantly in the years coming ahead, so all the Soldiers and Officers of PAKISTAN NAVY must be prepared for it.
CNS also visited Jinnah Naval Base & PN Cadet College Ormara. Speaking on occasions, the Adm highlighted imp of maritime security of entire Coast & CPEC. CNS also appreciated the morale, selfless devotion & commitment of troops in defending maritime frontiers of the country.(2/2)
