Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Ship YUUGIRI Visits Karachi Port:

Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Ship YUUGIRI visited the Karachi port on Sunday, July 11, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY, JMSDF ship YUUGRI visited Karachi Port.

On completion of the port visit, the Warships of PAKISTAN NAVY and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) conduct special sea exercise covering a wide range of naval operations.

During the visit, PAKISTAN NAVY arranged an impressive reception to welcome the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF). In the ceremony, Senior Officials of PAKISTAN NAVY and Defense Attaché of Japan received also presented on the occasion.

The main of the exercise was aimed to contribute towards maintaining peace and stability in the indian Ocean Region (iOR) and to enhance the interoperability between the Two Naval Forces.

Both Naval Forces, PAKISTAN NAVY and JMSDF, enjoys longstanding brotherly and cordial relations. Both Naval Forces have been working together to ensure the security and stability in the maritime region.

The recent sea exercise of PAKISTAN NAVY Warship with JMSDF Ship YUUGRI is a testimony of strong will and desire of PAKISTAN NAVY towards maintaining regional peace and the exercise will significantly help to strengthen the bilateral collaboration between the Two Naval Forces.

The Warships of both PAKISTAN and Japan have also conducted various sea exercises and participated in several Maritime Security Operations.

“Ships of both navies are also participating in Maritime Security Operations and have conducted sea exercises at various occasions. Japanese Ship also participated in Ex AMAN-21 held in PAKISTANI water in February this year,” DGPR NAVY added.

The Warship of Japanese Maritime Self Defense Security Forces (JMSDF) also participated in the multinational Naval Exercise AMAN-21, which was held in PAKISTAN earlier this February.
