PAK NAVY Rear Azhar Mahmood Assumes Command As Commander Central Punjab (COMCEP) In A Prestigious Change Of Guard Ceremony Held At PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore:

PAK NAVY Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood assumed the Command as the Commander Central Punjab (COMCEP) in a Prestigious and Graceful Ceremony held at PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore on Monday, December 25 2023, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY said in an Official Statement.

According to the details, Rear Admiral Javed Iqbal handed over the Command scroll to newly appointed Command Central Punjab (COMCEP) during the Change of Command ceremony held at PAKISTAN NAVY War College, Lahore.

Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood was commissioned in Operations Branch of PAKISTAN NAVY in 1993. The Flag Officer is a graduate of PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore and National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad.

During his illustrious and distinguished career, the Newly Promoted Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood held various Command and Staff appointments which include Commander 9th Auxiliary and Mine warfare Squadron, Commander 25th Destroyer Squadron and Chief of Staff to Commander CTF-150.

He has also commanded various ships of PAKISTAN NAVY Fleet. Prior assuming present appointment, the Flag Officer was performing duties as Directing Staff at National Defense University.

During change of command ceremony, the newly appointed Commander Central Punjab was introduced to officers and men undercommand.

The Admiral was awarded with the Prestigious and Coveted Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (MILITARY) and Sitara-e-Imtiaz (MILITARY) for his Distinguished and Unmatched Services towards his Sacred Country PAKISTAN during his career.

Later, Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood laid floral wreath and offered FATEHA at Shuhada Monument and paid Rich Tribute to the Bravest Sons of Sacred PAKISTAN, who laid down their lives while protecting the Honor and Glory of Sacred PAKISTAN.
