PAKISTAN NAVY All Set To Receive First of Two 2300 Tons Corvettes by Damen Shipyard Romania:
PAKISTAN NAVY is all set to receive the first of the two massive 2300 Tons Corvettes for PAKISTAN NAVY. PAKISTAN NAVY has ordered two 2300 Tons Corvettes with Damen Shipyard Company back in 2017 and the Company has handover the first of the two 2300 Tons Corvettes and the delivery of last and second corvettes is expected in the year of 2020.
The Corvettes handing ceremony was attended by the Senior Officers and Official of PAKISTAN NAVY as the Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem, Romanian Chief Naval Overseer and other senior Naval Officers from both the countries.

The induction of the state of the art 2300 Tons Corvettes or Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) will significantly enhance and boost the Surveillance Capability of PAKISTAN NAVY of safeguarding the maritime frontiers of the country and will also boost the PAKISTAN NAVY’s initiative of Independent Regional Maritime Security Patrols (IRMSP) particularly in the highly contested maritime frontier of the Indian Ocean.
According to the experts, the PAKISTAN NAVY 2300 Tons Corvettes or Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) measure the massive total 90 meters in length, includes hangaring space and a flight deck and it has a maximum speed up to 23 Knots.
The newly inducted 2300 Tons Corvette or Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) is a Stealth Corvettes and PAKISTAN NAVY can easily equip the latter Corvettes with lethal Anti-Air and Anti-Surface Weapons with ease.
The 2300 Tons Corvettes or Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) will also host the dedicated Helicopter Pad that will allow PAKISTAN NAVY’s swift maritime patrol, Search and Rescue missions.
It is important to mention that Corvettes are usually lies in the family of Warships below frigate and their total weight can be up to 3000 Tons in total.
