PAKISTAN NAVY Celebrated 60th Gwadar Day With Zeal And Fervor:
PAKISTAN NAVY celebrated the 60th Gwadar Day with National Zeal and Fervor. On the occasion, PAKISTAN NAVY organized various ceremonies in the Southwestern Port City of Balochistan, PAKISTAN to rejuvenate the spirit of nationalism and patriotism among the local Patriotic population of the area.
The main event of the day was held as the PAKISTAN NAVY’s biggest establishment PNS AKRAM. The Former PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Sirohey participated in the event as the Chief Guest.
The Former PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Ifikhar Ahmed Sirohey was the first Commander of PAKISTAN NAVY Platoon to raise the Sacred Flag of PAKISTAN in Gwadar back in 1958.
An impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at PNS AKRAM right after the start of the event. After the Flag Hoisting ceremony, PAKISTAN NAVY organized different recreational events of boat rallies, friendly football matches and boat race.

The participation and enthusiasm of the local Patriotic population in the event is phenomenal and a large number of local populace enjoyed the boat race, matches and rallies during the celebration of the 60th Gwadar Day.

All the celebrations and recreational activities organized by PAK NAVY on 60th Gwadar Day aimed at enhancing national harmony among the local populace and community, creating healthy & wealthy environment and revival of history among Patriotic Local Population of Gwadar.
It is worth mentioning that Sultanate of Oman has the decade’s long possession of Gwadar since 1783 and it was formally handed over to the State of PAKISTAN in 1958. PAKISTAN celebrated the Gwadar Day on the 8th December of each year to celebrate the annexation of Gwadar with the State of PAKISTAN in 1958.
PAKISTAN NAVY sent its Naval Platoon in the Command of Lt. Iftikhar Ahmed Sirohey and this Naval Platoon was the first ever to land at Gwadar and to raise the Sacred Flag of PAKISTAN there.
