PAKISTAN NAVY commissions 2300 Tons Hi-Tech Stealth Corvette ‘PNS TABUK’ in its fleet in a prestigious commissioning ceremony held at the PAKISTAN NAVY’s Dockyard in Karachi, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head Director General Public Relations (DGPR NAVY) Rear Admiral Arshid Javed said in an official statement on the Official Twitter account.

CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi graced the induction ceremony as the Chief Guest.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media, the Chief Guest of the Ceremony, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi termed the induction of the PNS TABUK Stealth Corvette as an important milestone for PAKISTAN NAVY.

CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi further added that the Commissioning of this state of the art 2300 Tons Stealth Corvette PNS TABUK will not only help to enhance the offensive capabilities of PAKISTAN NAVY, but it will also help in promoting regional peace and stability.

On the Occasion, CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi highly appreciated and commended the professionalism of Dame Shipyards (Romania) for delivering such cutting-edge and hi-tech platforms in an efficient manner.

CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi urged all the Officers and Soldiers of PAKISTAN NAVY to make full use of combat capability in safeguarding the maritime interests of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN.

It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN NAVY has inducted the PNS YARMOOK in its arsenal in July this Year. The PAKISTAN Ministry of Defense (MoD) has signed the contract with Damen Shipyard Romania for the procurement of 2 numbers of 2300 Tons Stealth Corvettes back in 2017.

The Damen Shipyard has delivered the second 2300 Tons PNS TABUK Corvette to PAKISTAN NAVY at its Shipyard in Galati, Romania.

The induction of the Second Stealth Corvette in PAKISTAN NAVY Fleet will significantly help to strengthen and enhance the Offensive Capability and Combat Potential of PAKISTAN NAVAL FLEET against its arch rival india.

The PNS TABUK Stealth Corvettes are state of the art highly adaptable platforms that are capable of fulfilling multipurpose tasks in difficult maritime environments.

Decades Long Partnership of PAKISTAN NAVY and Damen Shipyard:

PAKISTAN NAVY is an active partner of Damen Shipyard and both have been engaged various mega Naval projects since 1986.

The Managing Director of Damen Shipyards Galati, Flemming Sorensen said, “The Company is proud of this long-lasting and trusting cooperation with PAKISTAN NAVY.”

“PAKISTAN, Romanian and Dutch project teams have managed, with perseverance, to continue their work to successful completion,” Flemming said.

“Such an achievement is only possible with good coordination, skillful workmanship, excellent teamwork and good cooperation between all parties involved,” Flemming Sorensen added in the statement.

Flemming Sorensen added that Damen Shipyard has delivered both the corvettes to PAKISTAN NAVY in time, despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
