PAKISTAN NAVY To Indigenously Build High-Tech Stealth Warcraft And Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs At KSEW:

PAKISTAN NAVY has signed a contract to indigenously develop state of the art Stealth Warcraft and Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs at State-owned Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW), s statement issued by PAKISTAN NAVY.

According to the details, Ministry of Defense Production (MoDP) and Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) has signed a contract on Wednesday to build cutting-edge and high tech platforms for PAKISTAN NAVY in the country.

The contract signing ceremony was attended by the Managing Director Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) Rear Admiral Ather Saleem and Director General Munition Productions Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Qaiser Janjua.

During the occasion, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami and Additional Secretary Defense Production Major General Akif Iqbal also present.

According to the details of the contract, PAKISTAN NAVY will build Stealth Warcraft in the country. The Warcraft would be a stealth Warcraft and it would be equipped with armor protection. Furthermore, the stealth Warcraft would also be capable to cruise at higher speeds.

As the Warcraft possesses Stealth features, so all its weaponry and armament options would be totally concealed and not be visible to anyone from outside by any means.

PAKISTAN NAVY will also construct two Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW).

The Tugs would be equipped with the state of the art technology, machinery and sensor. The Tugs would be fully capable to conduct salvage operations at high seas in adverse weather conditions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) Rear Admiral Ather Saleem said that the indigenous mega projects are the clear manifestation self-sufficiency and self-reliance in the domain of Ship Building.

The MD KSEW Rear Admiral Ather Saleem further added that Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) is currently working on number of mega projects, including the Maritime Patrol Vessel, Fast Attack Missile Craft, Tugs and the recently launched MILGEM Class Warships.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General Munition Productions Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Qaiser Janjua said that highly appreciated and lauded the workforce and management of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) to ensure the successful and timely delivery of different classes of Ships and Vessels according to the highest international manufacturing standards.

PAK NAVY Bollard Pusher Pull Tugs

The steel-cutting ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY Bollard Pusher Tugs previously held at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) on October 2019. 

PAKISTAN NAVY is inducting large numbers of state of the art Warships, Frigates, Corvettes, Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), Fast Attack Missile Craft, Patrol Vessels and Tugs in its arsenal in coming years.

Recently, the steel cutting of MILGEM class Warship held at the Karachi Shipyard Engineering & Works, which would be constructed domestically with the collaboration of ASFAT and STM.

According to the contract, PAKISTAN will get 4 MILGEM Warships. Two of them would be constructed in TURKEY, while the next two would be entirely built in PAKISTAN at KSEW.

PAKISTAN also cut a major defense deal with its Iron Brother and All Weather Friend CHINA for the procurement of a total 4 numbers of Type 054A/P Frigates. The first two Type 054A/P Frigates are expected to join the fleet of PAKISTAN NAVY in the next few months.
