COAS General Bajwa And Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Discuss Afghan Peace Process In GHQ Rawalpindi:
Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Dr. Mutlaq Bin Majed Al Qahtani held one on one important meeting with COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa with discussed ongoing Afghan Peace and Reconciliation Process in Generals Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on February 22, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, both dignitaries discuss the ongoing Afghan Peace Process, recent regional security situation and matters of mutual interest.
Both dignitaries also discussed the various the prospects to further increase the bilateral cooperation between the two Brotherly countries in various domains, including Defense.
The Director General of PAKISTAN’s most feared and reputed Intelligence Agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence or ISI, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was also present in the meeting.
On the occasion, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated the firm resolve and commitment that both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries share the great history of rich Religious, Cultural and Defense Ties in a deep-rooted spirit of Brotherhood, which has transformed the collaboration of both countries into an enduring partnership.
The visiting dignitary, Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Dr. Mutlaq Bin Majed Al Qahtani, highly commended and lauded the precious continuous efforts of PAKISTAN for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The Qatari Envoy pledged to keep working for the betterment of relations of between both the Brotherly and Friendly Countries.
It is pertinent to mention that the recent meeting of Qatari Envoy with COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa comes three days after the Russian Presidential Envoy to Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov and US commander General Kenneth held one on separate meetings with COAS General Bajwa to discuss Afghan Peace Process in GHQ Rawalpindi.
PAKISTAN acts as a pivot and playing a key role in facilitating and brokering the Afghan Peace Process between Afghan Taliban and the United States with an aim to put an end to the decades long war in Afghanistan, which is known as the Graveyard of Empires.
