PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR Visits Portsmouth United Kingdom As Part Of Overseas Deployment:
PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR, embarked with state of the art Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter, visits Portsmouth, United Kingdom as part of PAKISTAN NAVY Overseas Deployment (OSD) on Thursday, July 15, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head, the PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR was warmly greeted, welcomed and received by the Top Senior Officials from Royal Navy. Defense Advisor, National Advisor and Deputy High Commissioner of PAKISTAN at UK were also presented on the occasion.
During the stay as Portsmouth, the Mission Commander of PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR Commodore Syed Rizwan Khalid along with the Commanding Officer of PNS ZULFIQUAR Captain Rao Ahmed Imran Anwar called on the Commander Naval Base Portsmouth Commodore J J Bailey.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed matters pertaining to mutual and regional interest were discussed. Top Officials of Royal Navy also acknowledged the unbiased efforts of PAKISTAN NAVY to maintain regional peace and stability.
The mission commander of PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR also conveyed the well wishes from the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi to the royal navy.
The mission commander of PAKISTAN NAVY Warship also extended the whole hearted support in making the ship stay comfortable.
The High Commissioner of PAKISTAN to United Kingdom H.E Moazzam Ali Khan also visited the onboard PNS ZULFIQUAR and interacted with the Mission Commander.
After paying a visit to Portsmouth, the PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ZULFIQUAR also participated in the 3rd PAKISTAN NAVY-royal navy Bilateral Naval Exercise White Star-III that also included the royal navy ship HMS TYNE.
The exercise encompassed the advanced maritime maneuvers, including the Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) Boarding and Force Protection Drills. The main aim of White Star-III Exercise to enhance the interoperability and military cooperation between PAKISTAN and the united kingdom.
