Steel Cutting Ceremony Of Two 16 Ton Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs For PAKISTAN NAVY Held At KS&EW:
The Steel Cutting Ceremony of Two 16 Tons Bollards Pull Pusher Tugs for PAKISTAN NAVY is being held at the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW). Commander Coast Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz (Hilaal E Imtiaz Military) was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony.
The Two 16 Tons Capacity Bollards Pull Pusher Tugs being built for PAKISTAN NAVY at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works would be completely constructed at the KS&EW by the Engineers and Technicians of PAKISTAN NAVY.
The Two 16 Tons Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs has a total displacement of 255 Tons and it has an overall length of up to massive 21 meters or 69 feet in total. The Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs would be powered by the 2 powerful diesel engines and it can cruise up to a maximum speed of 10 Knots.
The new Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs being built for PAKISTAN NAVY would be equipped with a very robust fendering arrangement that can be used for all-round tugging operations.

One of the distinctive features of the Bollard Pull Pusher Tugs that it would also be able to fender below the waterline. It is done to ensure the safe and sound movement of submarine off and on the shores with precision.
During the occasion, the Chief Guest Commander Coast Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz said that it is a historical day for the manifestation of the indigenization policy through self-reliance being pursued by the Ministry Of Defense Production (MoDP).

The Commander Coast appreciate the contribution of technical expertise of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) for attainting the goal of self-reliance in the domain of ship building.
The Commander Coast also highlighted that KS&EW has is fully equipped to construct modern and state of the art fishing boats, trawlers and ships. The Commander Coast Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz urged the Provincial Governments to benefit from the capability and capacity building of KS&EW.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW), Rear Admiral Ather Saleem (Sitara E Imtiaz Military) thanked PAKISTAN NAVY and MoDP in his Welcome address for their continued support for indigenization and self-reliance.
He further added that Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works has already successfully constructed the various tugs of different weight ranging from 10 – 40 Tons pull capacities.
The MD KS&EW Highlighted the potential of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works that KS&EW has undertaken the several mega shipbuilding projects, including the Fast Attack Missile Craft Boat, Construction of 4 Submarines, construction of massive 1500 Tons Maritime Patrol Vessel and the construction of 2 state of the art MILGEM Class Corvettes for PAKISTAN NAVY, which are in the pipeline.
